# Tremefest - **Website:** - **Primary alias:** `tremefest.org` ## Description Tremé Fest is a New Orleans festival celebrating the history, culture, and creative spirit of Tremé, one of the country’s oldest African-American neighborhoods. Organized to help sustain the community’s historic and cultural assets, the festival brings residents and visitors together through music, food, art, and neighborhood traditions. The 2026 Tremé Fall Festival takes place on October 24 at the St. Augustine Catholic Church yard and nearby streets, and is free and open to the public. Festivities begin with a Second Line parade featuring Social Pleasure Clubs, brass bands, and Baby Dolls. The program also includes performances by local musicians and buskers, a marketplace of local food and goods, festival merchandise, and an auction whose proceeds support Tremé’s cultural heritage. A Patron Party on October 16 offers live music, honoree recognition, cuisine, an open bar, and an auction. The festival celebrates honorees Wanda Rouzan, A Taste of New Orleans, and Luther Gray, and features artwork by local Creole artist Christina F.
