## Description

Trevor May is a web and app developer based in British Columbia, Canada, known for creating and leading development of Trailforks, a mountain biking trail mapping platform. The service brings together a global trail database, mapping tools and mobile features for riders, trail builders and associations. Its capabilities include trail management, condition and trail-work reporting, route planning, community-created rides, GPS recording and Android and iOS apps. Trailforks also offers a mountain-bike-focused global basemap, heatmaps, Garmin maps and customizable print maps.

May’s work reflects a long-standing interest in Canadian online communities. In high school, he started Canada Kicks Ass and created Canadaka.net, along with other patriotic Canadian websites. He also founded Politwitter.ca, which received national press in 2011. Beyond development, May is an avid mountain biker and skier, a ride leader and director with the North Shore Mountain Bike club, and a participant in a Canadian gaming clan he founded in 2005. His personal site shares his projects, portfolio, blog, outdoor interests and links to his work.
