## Description

La Tricoterie is a cultural and event venue in Saint-Gilles, Belgium, created in 2010 by citizens seeking to bring people together through culture and sustainable practices. Known as a “fabrique de liens,” or place for building connections, it occupies 1,600 square metres and welcomes audiences, event organisers and local communities.

The venue presents a cultural programme that includes theatre, concerts, participatory music, discussions, film screenings, workshops, wellbeing activities, markets and exhibitions. It also offers spaces for hire and professional event services, including sustainable catering and deliveries, activities, and technical support. Visitors can enjoy its café, restaurant and brunch offerings, as well as Friday evenings at La Java and Sunday brunch. Its food is described as artisanal and local, with organic options.

Sustainability, accessibility and inclusivity are central themes in La Tricoterie’s work and organisational project. Through its cultural activities, hospitality and event services, the venue provides a setting for creative experiences, gatherings and exchanges in the heart of Saint-Gilles.
