## Description

Triest Training Centre (TTC) is a non-profit organisation in Klerksdorp, in South Africa’s North West Province, supporting people with intellectual disabilities. Established in June 1997, the Centre aims to develop, motivate, educate and support its clients, while advocating for them, their families, co-workers and the wider community. Its work is guided by a vision of creating opportunities that enhance clients’ quality of life and help each person reach their potential in a loving, secure and homely environment.

TTC offers residential and activity-centre services, with activities spanning culture, sport and social engagement. Two houses provided by the Brothers of Charity serve as client residences. The Centre works with families and the community and receives support through a service-level agreement with the Department of Social Development, client fees, donors and fundraising. It operates as a registered non-profit organisation under the oversight of a governing board. Since opening, TTC has continued its work with support from the Brothers of Charity, government and the local community.
