## Description

Trinidad State College is a public higher education institution serving diverse communities through quality education and lifelong learning. Established in 1925 as Colorado’s first community college, it operates two campuses: a scenic location in Trinidad and a close-knit campus in Alamosa, set among Colorado’s mountain landscape. The college is a Hispanic-Serving Institution and offers a 16:1 student-to-teacher ratio, supporting personalized academic guidance.

Students can explore degree pathways and programs, adult education, online and non-traditional learning, concurrent enrollment, and other academic options. Trinidad State also provides admissions support, academic advising, financial aid, scholarships, grants, payment plans, and career-focused resources. Its COSI Achieve services include career planning, student coaching, community connection, and help accessing public resources. Student life includes housing, campus activities, and 17 intercollegiate athletic programs. The college hosts a free monthly Visual Arts Department lecture series featuring visiting and local artists, and its Foundation offers ways to support students through giving. Trinidad State serves prospective and current students with campus tours, request-information services, a bookstore, library, and student portal.
