## Description

Trismegistos (TM) offers stable identifiers for each record in its databases, ensuring a unique reference point for researchers and scholars. With a focus on Texts, the core database of Trismegistos, TM numbers remain constant even when texts are re-edited or interpreted differently. This stable system allows for reliable citation and referencing, with each document, book, or inscription receiving a single Trismegistos number. The platform prioritizes material aspects to determine what constitutes a separate record, emphasizing the physical connection between texts on the same writing surface. Through detailed guidelines and examples, Trismegistos ensures the accuracy and integrity of its database, making it a valuable resource for papyrological research. By utilizing stable identifiers, Trismegistos addresses the challenges of the digital world, offering a reliable framework for citing and referencing scholarly work.
