## Description

Trisomie21 Alsace is a regional association of Trisomie 21 France, founded in June 2011 by parents of children with Down syndrome. Based in Flaxlanden, it supports people with Down syndrome and their families across Bas-Rhin, Haut-Rhin and the Territoire de Belfort. Its aims include helping people build autonomy, encouraging social and professional inclusion, and promoting a better understanding of Down syndrome.

The association offers families guidance with administrative procedures and everyday questions, as well as opportunities to connect with other families and volunteers for practical and emotional support. It organizes meetings, leisure activities and outings, and provides member families access to its toy library. It also works to foster dialogue with healthcare professionals and public administrations, and to raise public awareness.

Trisomie21 Alsace welcomes new members, donations and partnership enquiries. Donations made online or by mail may qualify for a French income-tax reduction, with a tax receipt provided. The association is supported by local institutions and businesses, and by the Jérôme Lejeune Foundation.
