The organization brings history to life by coordinating reenactments and living-history events for the public. Its featured event, Grant’s Home Front, takes place in historic Galena, Illinois. Scheduled for April 25–26, 2026, the event invites visitors to experience an 1860s setting and learn about the era through reenactors, daily battle demonstrations, and historical activities. The organization reports that more than 3,000 members of the public attended the previous year’s event. Participants can make use of special civilian camping, and period-dressed reenactors may receive restaurant discounts in Galena. A home-cooked breakfast is also offered on Saturday. Tri-State Historical Presentations seeks Union and Confederate infantry reenactors for the battles, as well as dismounted cavalry participants; artillery and medical roles are closed for this event. Through these presentations, the organization connects audiences with Civil War history and Galena’s past. ## Industries - 🧪 Science and Education - 🧪 History _(under Science and Education)_ - 🎗 Community and Society - 🎗 Philanthropy _(under Community and Society)_ ## Links - [facebook](https://facebook.com/tristatehistoricalpresentations) ## Logos & icons - icon _(primary)_ — JPEG — [download](https://cdn.brandfetch.io/id4Q87kGAG/w/843/h/843/theme/dark/icon.jpeg?c=1bxid64Mup7aczewSAYMX&t=1793206159087) ## Colors | Name | Hex | Theme | | --- | --- | --- | | Meteor | #cc6611 | accent | | Green Leaf | #3d7b09 | dark | | Marzipan | #f7dc98 | light | --- _Source: _ _See [/llms.txt](/llms.txt) for a full list of agent-readable pages, and [/auth.md](/auth.md) for how agents authenticate._
