Welcome to Troy Historic Village! Located in the heart of Troy, Michigan, our brand offers an immersive experience into the rich history of the area. With a collection of 11 beautifully restored buildings surrounding a gazebo and green, visitors of all ages can explore and learn about the settlement and growth of Troy in the 1800s and 1900s. Our brand provides a wide range of programs, events, and activities for all ages. Students can participate in engaging field trips that take them back to an 1880s one room school or teach them about the challenges of lighting a room without electricity. Preschoolers can join Cheddar, our Village Mouse, for story hour and exploration. There are also hands-on workshops for students of all ages to learn traditional trades, such as blacksmithing. For a more relaxed experience, we invite you to attend our Teas at Two in the historic Troy Church, where interesting topics and tea come together. Additionally, you can always visit us for a self-guided tour during our regular hours. The Troy Historic Village is the result of a passionate community effort to preserve the stories and artifacts of Troy's history. Today, we have eight historic structures relocated to the site and two recreated buildings. Our visitor center and offices are housed in the 1927 Township Hall.
