## Description

True Key is McAfee’s password management app, designed to make signing in simpler while protecting sensitive information. It automatically saves usernames and passwords, then fills them in and logs users into websites and apps. A personal Launchpad organizes frequently used websites, while cross-device syncing provides access to saved information on supported computers, phones, and tablets.

The app also includes a password generator for creating strong, unique passwords and a Digital Wallet for storing credit card details, IDs, passport numbers, and other sensitive information. McAfee says data is stored locally and protected with AES-256 encryption when synced. Users can sign in with a master password and strengthen account access through multi-factor authentication, using options such as a second device, fingerprint, email verification, or a trusted device. Windows Hello is also available through the Microsoft Edge extension.

True Key supports Windows, Mac, iOS, and Android, with browser support varying by platform. The service is offered as a free download, and McAfee states that users’ passwords are private and are not shared or sold.
