TryghedsGruppen is a member-based company committed to promoting peace of mind and creating value for the Danish society. As the largest shareholder in Tryg insurance company, TryghedsGruppen finances the philanthropic activities of TrygFonden. All Danish customers of Tryg insurance are automatically members of TryghedsGruppen. With 1.4 million members, TryghedsGruppen empowers its members by allowing them to vote for the board of representatives, the governing body of the company. The board, consisting of 70 members, makes decisions on major investments and overall strategies. Members also have the opportunity to receive bonus payments based on the company's financial performance. Furthermore, TryghedsGruppen invests in various investment funds and holds direct investments in companies such as Falck and SATS. The company adheres to ethical guidelines, including not investing in alcohol and tobacco firms or companies involved in the extraction of fossil fuels. Through partnerships and direct donations, TryghedsGruppen invests up to DKK 680 million annually in projects promoting safety, health, and well-being in Danish society.
