## Description

Technology Strategies for Nonprofit Innovation (TSNI) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit based in San Francisco, run by a small team of senior engineers and nonprofit advocates. It researches, monitors, and builds technology to help address the digital challenges facing nonprofit organizations. TSNI’s work responds to sector-wide issues such as insecure websites, outages, poor mobile usability, and limited visibility in search results.

Its flagship initiative, TSNI Nonprofit Web Intelligence, is a scanning engine that monitors approximately 700,000 nonprofit domains, assesses their digital health, and supports the TSNI Nonprofit Web Index. The resulting data helps reveal broader needs across the sector and guides the development of future tools, benchmarks, and resources. TSNI aims to make its reports and tools free for the organizations it serves and says it never sells services to nonprofits. The organization is currently self-funded by its founding team and plans to continue until suitable partners emerge. Through research and practical technology, TSNI seeks to give nonprofits better insight into their online presence and help build solutions for shared challenges.
