## Description

Tuitui Designs is a Māori-owned creative brand founded by Moana Williams, offering contemporary ways to engage with tukutuku weaving and Māori design patterns. Its signature tukutuku panels use a modern weaving concept developed by Williams, designed to make the craft accessible to people who may not consider themselves experienced or artistic. Customers can choose DIY kitsets in several sizes, with materials and resources provided, or purchase ready-made panels. The brand also offers tukutuku wānanga workshops, where participants learn to create panels while exploring Māori culture, sharing stories and connecting with others. Workshops use the Poutama pattern as a metaphor for weaving individual pūrākau, or stories, into the learning experience. Tuitui Designs describes its panel materials as sustainable, reusable, and resistant to fraying and fading. Its online store also features dress earrings, pēpi kākahu sets and porotiti. Through its products and workshops, Tuitui Designs brings traditional patterns into a contemporary context while creating opportunities for people to learn, create and connect with Te Ao Māori.
