# Turtle Crazy - **Website:** - **Primary alias:** `turtlecrazy.com` ## Description TurtleCrazy.com is the outdoor publishing and turtle-trapping business of Gene G. Check, an experienced outdoorsman who has trapped turtles in several states and made his living outdoors for more than 30 years. The brand focuses on practical information and equipment for people interested in managing turtle populations, harvesting turtles, or learning about their history and biology. Its featured product is The Professional Turtle Harvest, a paperback by G. Check. Updated in 2024, the second edition explains turtle harvesting and includes plans for Check’s patented, collapsible cage trap, which is designed to catch different species and sizes of aquatic turtles. The book also covers transport, storage, cleaning, and marketing, alongside historical information and illustrations. TurtleCrazy.com presents the trap as an alternative to traditional hoop nets, emphasizing its self-supporting design and quick setup and collapse. The site’s materials discuss responsible population management and the ecological effects of abundant snapping turtles, while noting that commercial harvesting should be done where legal. Customers can purchase the book through the website’s online shop. ## Industries - 🎸 Hobbies and Leisure - 🎸 Camping Scouting and Outdoors _(under Hobbies and Leisure)_ - 🏈 Sports ## Links - [facebook](https://facebook.com/ProfessionalTurtleHarvest) ## Logos & icons - logo _(primary)_ — PNG — [download](https://cdn.brandfetch.io/idWZRIcSd7/w/180/h/180/theme/dark/logo.png?c=1bxid64Mup7aczewSAYMX&t=1791177312376) ## Colors | Name | Hex | Theme | | --- | --- | --- | | Equator | #e4b858 | accent | | Green Vogue | #043256 | dark | | Blizzard Blue | #9ed6ed | light | ## Fonts - Inter — asset _(google)_ - Inter — asset _(google)_ --- _Source: _ _See [/llms.txt](/llms.txt) for a full list of agent-readable pages, and [/auth.md](/auth.md) for how agents authenticate._
