## Description

Turun Seudun Selkäyhdistys ry is a regional association dedicated to promoting back health and supporting people in different life situations. Its work focuses on encouraging self-care for back problems, sharing reliable information about back health, and providing expert-led physical activity services, peer support, and other forms of assistance. The association also offers opportunities to connect with others through its peer-support activities and publishes information through its Selkälehti magazine.

Turun Seudun Selkäyhdistys manages the TULE-tietokeskus, a joint information centre operated with three other Turku associations: the Bone, Joint, and Rheumatism Associations. The association is a member of Selkäliitto ry and VAPI ry, an organisation for disability and long-term illness associations in Southwest Finland.

Its activities are guided by responsibility, community, and openness. People can join as members; the annual membership fee for 2026 is €28. The association also provides access to its membership application, privacy statement, rules, and 2024–2026 strategy, and shares updates on Facebook.
