## Description

Turun Urkujuhlat, or Turku Organ Festival, is a music festival focused on organ performance and the discovery of both celebrated and overlooked repertoire. Organized by Turun Urkujuhlat ry, it presents concerts in Turku and the surrounding region, featuring notable instruments in local churches. The festival brings together leading Finnish and international performers, with programs ranging from Baroque masters such as Dietrich Buxtehude and Johann Sebastian Bach to German and French Romantic works, new commissions, and music from other traditions, including Duke Ellington. Its 2026 program features evening concerts at Mikaelinkirkko and daytime performances at Naantali Church while Turku Cathedral is undergoing renovation. Artists include Elke Voelker, Santeri Siimes, James D. Hicks, and Finnish organists Maiju Laurila, Arttu Selonen, and Eino Susitaival. Some performances also combine organ music with other art forms, including voice, saxophone, and projected paintings. The festival website provides program information, concert venues, artist introductions, ticket details, background about the event, and membership and contact information, helping audiences plan their visits.
