## Description

Turvapuhelu is a Finnish service from Turvapuhelu Suomi Oy, designed to support people who live alone and give their loved ones greater peace of mind. Through scheduled phone calls, the service can check on someone’s wellbeing and remind them about everyday routines, such as taking medication, eating, drinking, or attending an appointment. Calls can use messages recorded in a family member’s own voice, ready-made recordings, or custom-written messages, and can be scheduled for preferred days and times.

The recipient needs only a phone—either a mobile phone or a traditional landline—and does not need an app, smart device, or installation. If the person does not answer, Turvapuhelu tries again at 15-minute intervals, up to three times. If there is still no answer, it alerts a contact or other designated party about a possible need for assistance.

The service also offers support for home-care providers and care facilities. Call packages include 28 calls per four weeks for €2.45 per week and 84 calls for €4.95 per week, including VAT.
