## Description

Tutela is a community-focused care organisation guided by the principle “Caring brings hope.” Operating across the East Rand in Gauteng and Mpumalanga, it supports vulnerable children, families and older persons through a network of family care offices and residential facilities. Its work is organised around four pillars: capacity building, early intervention and prevention, professional social work services, and employee assistance. These services include training, mentorship and skills development; prevention programmes and awareness campaigns; social work, counselling, residential care and advocacy; and wellness, leadership development and organisational support for staff and partners.

Tutela’s services are delivered through 11 family care offices, two child and youth care facilities, and seven elderly care facilities. The organisation also works with a range of partner care facilities and organisations. Tutela invites individuals and supporters to contribute to its work through donations, which it says qualify for a Section 18(A) tax certificate. Through practical support and collaboration, Tutela aims to strengthen communities and help people facing social challenges.
