## Description

The Tuzzy Consortium Library, located in Utqiaġvik (formerly known as Barrow), Alaska, serves as an essential public resource for the entire North Slope Borough and functions as the academic library for Iḷisaġvik College. Named in honor of Evelyn Tuzroyluk Higbee, a pioneer in higher education, the library is co-located with the Iñupiat Heritage Center, creating a unique cultural hub. As a Federal Depository Library, Tuzzy offers a wide array of resources, including an extensive collection of books, eBooks, DVDs, audiobooks, and streaming educational films. The library also features special collections that focus on Arctic and polar regions, with a particular emphasis on Iñupiaq history, language, and culture. Additionally, Tuzzy provides access to 18 public computers, research databases, and services such as photocopying, faxing, and scanning. With its diverse offerings, the Tuzzy Consortium Library is dedicated to supporting education and preserving local heritage for the community.
