## Description

TVYFL, the Tualatin Valley Youth Football League, is a non-profit organization dedicated to promoting youth football in the Tualatin Valley, Portland, and Salem Metropolitan areas in Northwest Oregon. Founded in 1996, TVYFL is committed to providing a safe and enjoyable athletic competition while fostering good sportsmanship and individual growth. With over 50 associations, 6,500 players, and 1000+ volunteers, TVYFL offers a structured environment for K through 8th grade youth to benefit from participating in team sports. Their purpose is to encourage teamwork, good citizenship, and character development, as well as to promote balanced and sportsmanlike competition with a focus on player safety. TVYFL aims to educate players, parents, coaches, and the community about youth football and the importance of teamwork and sportsmanship. They also emphasize the importance of schoolwork in the lives of elementary and middle school students. TVYFL strives to provide a fun and positive playing environment, ensuring the safety of all participants with strict equipment requirements and certification of sound techniques through their partnership with USA Football. They also promote increased participation by providing opportunities for all youth to play, with no tryouts or cutting of rosters. Join TVYFL and experience the joy of football while developing essential values, teamwork skills, leadership, and resilience both on and off the field.
