## Description

Pamela Johnson is the author and dog-training educator behind Pam’s Dog Academy, based in San Diego, California. A certified professional dog trainer (CPDT-KA), she holds degrees in kinesiology and education curriculum development and brings her teaching experience to her work with dogs. Her training focuses on force-free methods, clicker training, behavior modification, and teaching complex behaviors and tricks. Johnson also presents canine freestyle and trick-training seminars across North America and Canada, and shares free tutorial videos through her YouTube channel to help people learn practical, humane training techniques.

Her featured book, Twix Runs Again, tells the story of Johnson and her Border Collie, Twix, after a herniated disc left him paralyzed and emergency surgery began a demanding recovery. The book follows their rehabilitation, including setbacks, progress, practical recovery tips, and the support that helped them through the journey. It celebrates the bond between a dog and his person, while showing the possibilities of life after serious injury.
