## Description

The Wheelchair Rugby Players Association (TWRPA) promotes inclusive sport through wheelchair rugby events designed to welcome players with a range of abilities. Its approach brings disabled and able-bodied athletes together, creating opportunities for competition, teamwork, connection and participation. The association offers Fusion5 and Fusion6 formats and invites people to register as players or form teams.

TWRPA recognises that eligibility rules for Paralympic wheelchair rugby are necessary to protect the sport, but they mean many wheelchair rugby players do not qualify to compete in that discipline. Wheelchair Rugby Fives was created to provide another way to play, and the association aims to broaden access by reducing barriers to participation. It also seeks to create a route for players to compete nationally and internationally for their country.

Through its events, TWRPA works to ensure that participants feel valued and encouraged, while using sport to foster understanding and equality. Its central message is that the excitement of competition and the benefits of team play should be available to more people.
