## Description

TxBands.com is an online home for the Texas high school marching band community, bringing students, fans, and supporters together around the marching season. The site provides live coverage of Texas marching contests, with real-time scores, commentary, and updates through its Live Blog. Members can also make predictions about contest placements, compare their picks with others, and follow standings on a season leaderboard.

The community forums, active since 2004, offer a place to discuss band news, competitions, performances, and show reviews. TxBands also features photos and videos, invites visitors to share images from events, and lists a wide range of high school bands for tagging and browsing. Its archive helps visitors explore past coverage, while the Bands section provides another way to engage with participating programs.

TxBands supports its hosting and live contest coverage through donations, including small contributions, and encourages fans to share photos on Instagram using #TxBands. Overall, it combines event reporting, interactive features, and community discussion for people who follow Texas high school marching bands.
