## Description

Tycho Space is a Norwegian space technology company founded in 2022 by a team whose experience includes building student and research satellites at the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU). The company develops efficient, autonomous satellite systems and is building a satellite constellation for planet-scale surveillance, centered on its TychoBoB platform.

TychoBoB is a customizable, modular AI board and Linux-based satellite edge computer for data processing in space. Based on an AMD System on Module, it is designed for low Earth orbit missions and offers a plug-and-play platform compatible with existing satellite systems. Tycho Space also provides tools and support across mission design, in-orbit operations and decommissioning.

Its solutions include edge computing, which enables detection and response directly from space, and dynamic tasking for smart payload management. The SOLAN dynamic-tasking satellite supports active object tracking, with the company stating that users can move from request to tracking in under 30 minutes. Tycho Space describes its service as intelligence subscription rather than delivery of raw data.
