## Description

The University of Tokyo Homecoming Day is an annual autumn gathering hosted by the University of Tokyo and the University of Tokyo Alumni Association. Launched in 2002, the event brings alumni and former students together with their families, friends, current students, local residents, and other members of the public for a day on campus. It is open to everyone, although some activities have specific eligibility or require advance registration.

The 2026 event is scheduled for October 17 at the Hongo and Yayoi campuses. Its program spans lectures, symposiums, reunions, workshops, anniversary ceremonies, and online events. Visitors can also enjoy food and merchandise stalls, a mini-stage along the avenue of ginkgo trees, music performances at Ito Hall, and special activities at Yasuda Auditorium. Garden access and tours are among the featured experiences. The website serves as the event’s information hub, providing schedules, program details, accessibility information, frequently asked questions, and participation guidance. It also invites organizations and companies to support the event through sponsorship or advertising.
