## Description

U20 Poetry Slam Wien is a youth-focused poetry and performance initiative that gives young people a platform to share their own writing and creative perspectives. It stages a monthly U20 Poetry Slam at Dschungel Wien, where emerging poets perform original texts for a live audience. The events are open to participants under 21, while audiences and workshops welcome people of all ages. Performances follow clear guidelines, including a six-minute time limit and no costumes or props.

Alongside its evening slams, U20 Poetry Slam Wien offers schreib' KLASSE!, an open workshop for beginners, individuals and groups such as school classes. Participants explore language through practical exercises and can receive coaching in stage presence and microphone delivery. Those who wish may take their work directly to the stage afterward, and no prior experience is required. The initiative also provides information for teachers, supports aspiring performers with registration, and shares news and event updates through its website and social media.
