## Description

[U25] is a dedicated online suicide prevention platform that provides free and confidential email counseling for individuals under 25 who are experiencing suicidal thoughts or crises. Established in 2001 by the Arbeitskreis Leben Freiburg and operationally supported by the German Caritas Association since 2012, [U25] offers a supportive environment where young people can connect with trained peer counselors. The service ensures that users can communicate anonymously, initiating contact through an easy-to-use Helpmail system.

Participants can expect a prompt response within 48 hours, and ongoing conversation for as long as needed, allowing for a continuous supportive relationship. In addition to personalized counseling, [U25] offers an extensive resource library on critical topics such as depression, eating disorders, and aggression, promoting awareness and prevention. With locations throughout Germany, [U25] remains committed to its mission: preventing suicide and providing essential help to youth in distress. Whether you seek assistance or wish to volunteer, [U25] is a vital lifeline for young people facing challenges.
