UB Hacking is the official student-run hackathon at the University at Buffalo. This 24-hour event brings together students from all backgrounds to collaborate, innovate, and have fun. With over 500 hackers and 100+ projects, UB Hacking is a vibrant and dynamic event.

Whether you're a coding expert or just starting out, UB Hacking welcomes all skill levels. Not only do we provide introductory workshops to help you learn new skills, but we also have industry professionals and UB CSE faculty as mentors to guide and support you throughout the hackathon. If hacking isn't your thing, you can still get involved as a mentor, volunteer, or judge.

Mentors offer their expertise and assistance to our hackers, while volunteers help with event logistics. Judges, including industry professionals and UB professors, play a crucial role in deciding the winners of our prizes. UB Hacking is completely free to attend, and all you need is a device with internet access and a willingness to learn and grow.
