## Description

United Capoeira Association Colorado (UCA Colorado) is a capoeira community serving Denver and Boulder, with more than 20 years of teaching in Colorado. Part of the global United Capoeira Association network, it practices capoeira as a living Afro-Brazilian art and culture, combining martial arts, acrobatics, music, rhythm, and community.

UCA Colorado offers classes for adults and teens of all experience levels, including complete beginners, as well as Kids Capoeira for ages 6–12 and Pre-Capoeira for children ages 3–5. Programs emphasize movement, music, cultural learning, and connection across generations. Students can also take music classes and join a six-week beginner series introducing capoeira movement, rhythm, instruments, and community; prospective students may try a class free.

Weekly classes take place six days a week at locations in Denver and Boulder. The organization also hosts community events, including its annual Batizado and Formatura, where students celebrate milestones and earn cords. With programs for a wide range of ages and abilities, UCA Colorado presents capoeira as both a physical practice and a shared cultural experience.
