## Description

UCT Friesland provides practical self-defence and kung fu training in Leeuwarden and Drachten for children, teenagers and adults. The school teaches Practical Wing Chun, an unarmed system focused on effective techniques for realistic situations. Training emphasizes timing, structure, control and technique rather than relying on brute strength, and students learn how to use an opponent’s force to their advantage.

Its programmes are tailored to different age groups. Jing Wu Kids serves children aged 6–12, developing motor skills, confidence, discipline and resilience through supervised training. Jing Wu Warriors is for teenagers aged 13–16 and combines practical techniques with physical and mental resilience. Practical Wing Chun is available to students aged 16 and over, including beginners, and focuses on close-range self-defence and control. UCT Friesland also offers private lessons for adults aged 18 and over.

Classes are designed for safe practice, with protective equipment expected when training involves harder contact. Participants do not need to be fit before starting; fitness develops through training.
