## Description

Uelac, also known as the United Empire Loyalists' Association of Canada, is an organization dedicated to preserving and celebrating the history and traditions of the United Empire Loyalists. These were individuals who remained loyal to the British crown during the American Revolutionary War and settled in what is now Canada at the end of the war. With a vision to enrich the lives of Canadians through fostering public awareness of our national history, Uelac aims to educate the public about the contributions of the United Empire Loyalists to the development of Canada. Their mission includes uniting descendants of Loyalist families, supporting research and documentation, publishing historical and family research materials, and assisting in the construction and preservation of Loyalist monuments and memorials. Membership in Uelac offers benefits such as access to educational resources, eligibility for scholarships, and the opportunity to connect with other individuals interested in the Loyalist era and early Canadian history. Through their activities and initiatives, Uelac aims to celebrate and honor the legacy of the United Empire Loyalists, ensuring that their heritage remains an integral part of the Canadian identity.
