## Description

Marco Mezquida is a celebrated Menorcan pianist known for his innovative contributions to the jazz genre. He will showcase his latest musical project, "Tornado," on August 22 at the prestigious Palma Jazz Festival, with a performance set against the stunning backdrop of Castell de Bellver. Accompanied by renowned musicians Masa Kamaguchi on double bass and Ramon Prats on drums, this concert promises an intense exploration of contemporary jazz, blending creative freedom and expressive power.

Following the festival, Mezquida will debut his composition "Talaiot" at the Teatre Principal de Palma on September 26. This work, inspired by Menorca’s talaiotic monuments, features a unique piano and orchestra arrangement and will be conducted by Pablo Mielgo with the Orquestra Simfònica de les Illes Balears. The concert, alongside additional performances in Menorca, aims to celebrate and highlight the rich cultural heritage of the Balearic Islands, underscoring Mezquida's dedication to intertwining tradition with modernity in his art.
