## Description

The Union for the Mediterranean (UfM) is an intergovernmental institution that brings together 42 countries to promote dialogue and cooperation in the Euro-Mediterranean region. It is composed of the European Union Member States and 16 countries from the Southern and Eastern shores of the Mediterranean. The UfM aims to enhance regional cooperation, dialogue, and the implementation of concrete projects and initiatives that have a tangible impact on citizens. The organization focuses on three strategic objectives: human development, stability, and integration. Their work encompasses inclusive development, economic development and employment, higher education and research, social and civil affairs, sustainable development, water, environment and blue economy, transport and urban development, and energy and climate action. The UfM Secretariat, which operates as the operational platform of the Union for the Mediterranean, consists of a multicultural team from more than 17 nationalities, fostering cooperation and intercultural exchange. They offer opportunities for vacancies, secondments, internships, and expert rosters. The UfM also provides an information center with press releases, visual identity guidelines, and other relevant information, and actively engages with media outlets across various platforms.
