## Description

Urban Financial Services Coalition (UFSC) is a nonprofit professional trade organization dedicated to advancing minority professionals and promoting greater diversity and equitable participation in the financial services industry. Established in 1974, the organization brings together members through nine chapters and a national network of professionals.

UFSC’s mission focuses on economic empowerment, educational advancement, and professional development. Its community initiatives include financial literacy and education, homeownership, entrepreneurship, wealth-building workshops, and local economic development. For minority youth and emerging professionals, UFSC offers educational, technical, and advisory support, scholarships, mentorship, and internship opportunities.

The organization also helps members build and advance their careers through professional networking, career development resources, and a Career Center. More than a job board, the Career Center connects job seekers with recruiters and career opportunities, and allows members to upload resumes. UFSC supports the exchange of professional experiences and ideas while advocating for career opportunities for minority professionals. Through its chapters, partnerships, events, programs, and career resources, UFSC works to strengthen diverse communities and foster a more inclusive financial services sector.
