## Description

UGM, or the Umetnostna Galerija Maribor, stands as a pivotal institution for modern and contemporary art in Slovenia. With a remarkable collection boasting over 3,000 artistic works by Slovene authors from the late 19th century to the present, UGM serves as a cultural hub for both locals and visitors. The gallery hosts a variety of exhibitions such as "Spekter," celebrating 70 years of its collection, and the innovative transnational project "Utrujene palme," which adapts to local contexts. Additionally, UGM offers diverse educational programs, including workshops for families and children, fostering creativity through hands-on experiences with art. The gallery is also proactive in the art community, inviting contributions and information about works by significant artists like Avguste and Henrike Šantel. UGM is dedicated to making art accessible, hosting events, exhibitions, and educational initiatives that enrich the cultural landscape of Maribor and beyond. Open from Tuesday to Sunday, UGM welcomes everyone to explore and engage with the dynamic world of art.
