## Description

Ugo Basile is a manufacturer of instruments for behavioral research, serving scientists worldwide since 1963. Combining long-standing expertise with ongoing product development, the company works with researchers to turn experimental ideas into practical instruments, including customized, made-to-order solutions. Its products have been cited in more than 50,000 peer-reviewed papers.

The company’s equipment supports research across areas such as pain and inflammation, behavior and conditioning, motor coordination, blood pressure, metabolism, feeding, and anesthesia. Its range includes mazes and video-tracking systems, organ baths, transducers and recorders, ventilators, and tools for studying learning, memory, social behavior, reward, and neurological conditions. Featured products include the Thermal Gradient Ring for thermal-preference testing, a three-chamber sociability apparatus, an eight-arm radial maze, and hot/cold plates for assessing thermal pain responses.

Ugo Basile also provides product information through a digital catalogue, along with customer support services for requests, device registration, returns, repairs, and warranty matters. Its focus is on combining established research instruments with new solutions designed to meet scientists’ experimental needs.
