# Uimakoulu - **Website:** - **Primary alias:** `uimakoulu.net` ## Description Uimakoulu provides private swimming lessons and short intensive courses for children and adults in the Helsinki, Espoo and Vantaa area. Led by instructor Tiina Ahonen, the service supports swimmers at different levels, from those learning basic water skills to experienced swimmers refining technique or preparing for competition and triathlon swimming. Beginner lessons introduce skills such as floating, gliding and underwater movement, while progression groups build confidence and distance in front and back crawl. Technique sessions focus on strokes including freestyle, breaststroke, backstroke and butterfly, as well as turns and starts. Pro coaching offers further opportunities to improve speed and stroke quality, with individual instruction tailored to each swimmer’s goals. Children’s courses are organized by age and ability, with defined entry requirements and learning objectives for each level. The advertised summer 2025 courses are four-day intensive programs.
