United Independent School District (UISD) is a renowned educational institution that has been providing excellence in education and unwavering dedication to student academic success for over 60 years. Established in 1961 through the consolidation of three common school districts in Webb County, UISD has grown into a district serving 43,000 students across its 44 campuses. From its humble beginnings with an enrollment of about 340 students, UISD has become the second largest District in Region One and the 24th largest in the state of Texas.
