## Description

UK-REACH is a pioneering research initiative focused on understanding the impact of COVID-19 on ethnic minority healthcare workers in the UK. This comprehensive study, conducted by a coalition of leading researchers and institutions, examines how ethnicity influences clinical outcomes and well-being for healthcare professionals. By integrating data from a cohort of 18,000 healthcare workers, UK-REACH provides valuable insights into the challenges faced by these individuals, including the effects of long COVID and the disparities in health outcomes.

The program includes various studies, such as REACH-OUT, which investigates the prevalence of long COVID among healthcare workers, and I-CARE, aimed at improving retention rates among ethnic minority staff in the NHS. By addressing issues of workload pressure, career advancement, and workplace harassment, UK-REACH is committed to reducing health inequalities and enhancing the physical and mental health of healthcare workers, ultimately benefiting the patients they serve. Funded by organizations like NIHR and MRC, UK-REACH is crucial in informing healthcare policy and support systems in these challenging times.
