Ukarumpa International School (UIS) is a recognized school located in Ukarumpa, Papua New Guinea. With a commitment to developing Godly, life-long learners, UIS offers a Christ-centered education that helps students develop a Biblical worldview and prepares them for success in all aspects of life. The school has a rich history, starting in 1956 with the establishment of Aiyura International Primary School.

Over the years, UIS has grown and evolved, incorporating primary and secondary campuses into one school in 1996. It is now a department of SIL-PNG and is guided by a Board of Directors. UIS is proud to be a member of the Association of Christian Schools International (ACSI) and has been accredited by the Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC) since 1978.

With a student body of approximately 225 students ranging from preschool through grade 12, UIS focuses on providing a high-quality education that equips students to have a Biblical worldview, be knowledgeable and discerning, understand themselves and others, be effective communicators, and be good stewards.
