## Description

UKBMD is a pioneering brand in the field of genealogy and family history, offering a comprehensive online platform for accessing Births, Marriages, and Deaths Indexes as well as Census Transcriptions for the UK. With a user-friendly interface, researchers can easily search through millions of records dating back to the Victorian era.
Cheshire BMD, a joint project between registration services and family history societies, led the way by making historical records available online. Following this success, other counties adopted similar initiatives, contributing to a network of reliable and accessible genealogical resources.
Started as a central hub for BMD sites, UKBMD has evolved to include a wide range of related resources such as parish records and Bishops Transcripts. The brand is dedicated to enhancing the accessibility and usability of genealogical information, making it a valuable tool for anyone exploring their family history.
