## Description

Allegheny Ukulele Soirée is an annual ukulele festival organized by the Allegheny Ukulele Kollective and held in Altoona, Pennsylvania. Its three-day program brings together players, teachers, performers, and enthusiasts for workshops, concerts, group jams, open mics, and community activities. The 14th annual event is scheduled for April 23–25, 2027, with the theme “Aloha in the Alleghenies,” celebrating Hawaiian culture and the heritage of the ukulele.

The festival features guest artists including Herb Ohta, Jr., Bryan Tolentino, Steven Espaniola, Jessica Maeve, Amber Rozel, Kama Hopkins, Mim, and Melissa Nannen. Activities include more than 30 workshops, two evening concerts, an afternoon performer showcase, six led jam sessions, and a beginner-friendly Ukulele Jumpstart track. A special Hawaiian Culture Track explores topics such as kanikapila, language, and falsetto singing. Attendees can also take part in open mics, including Mim’s Spicy Cabaret, browse vendors, and join a summit for ukulele club and jam leaders. Registration options include a limited Soirée Plus package with added perks, and volunteer opportunities help support the festival.
