## Description

Union Marseille Basket Ball (UMBB) is a basketball association based in northern Marseille, serving the 12th, 13th and 14th arrondissements. Combining sport with social engagement, the club aims to make basketball accessible while fostering inspiration, determination, courage, equality and respect. Its activities welcome beginners and experienced players, with women’s and men’s teams and 18 competitive teams participating in departmental or regional championships.

UMBB offers training sessions at different times, registration throughout the year, and basketball development camps for children and teenagers during school holidays. The association also organizes tournaments and social activities that help build connections among members and the wider community. Beyond club basketball, it works with schools, colleges, local institutions and businesses to encourage physical activity, introduce young people to the sport, and support confidence, effort and positive relationships.

The club promotes both traditional five-a-side basketball and three-a-side play, and seeks to create opportunities for people who may have limited access to organized sport.
