## Description

Umění ve městě is a free, public art festival presenting contemporary sculpture in outdoor spaces across České Budějovice and South Bohemia. Held each summer since 2008, it invites residents and visitors to encounter art in the everyday environment, making the festival accessible to everyone. Its programme features sculptures and installations by Czech and international artists, displayed in locations across the region, including Hluboká nad Vltavou, Bechyně, Vodňany, Veselí nad Lužnicí and Týn nad Vltavou. The festival’s online archive documents past editions and artworks, with records spanning hundreds of installations and more than a hundred artists. Visitors can explore information about accessible sculptures, festival history and current programmes, including the 2026 events in South Bohemia and the Vysočina region. Organised by Umění ve městě, z.s., the festival connects art, public space and communities through a welcoming cultural experience. Its website also provides accessibility settings and contact information for visitors seeking details or wishing to support the organisation.
