## Description

Umweltgruppe Kaltern EO is a volunteer-run environmental organization in Caldaro, Italy, and a member association of the South Tyrolean Federation for Nature and Environmental Protection. Bringing together people committed to caring for the natural world, the group works with partners to promote nature-friendly practices and strengthen connections between people and their local environment.

Its activities include guided walks, nature experiences for children, herb-related events, site visits, courses, lectures, and environmental projects. The organization also supports gardens and a biotope stewardship initiative, and shares information through brochures, articles, newsletters, and public events. Its Kräutergarten, located at the Franciscan monastery, welcomes visitors at set times, with guided tours available by arrangement.

The group participates in local conservation and landscape discussions, including proposals to restore natural areas, and organizes community initiatives such as the car-free cycling day on the Mendel Pass. It also offers opportunities to get involved through membership activities and gatherings.
