## Description

Umwelthelden e.V. is a nonprofit association based in Hamburg that encourages people to protect the environment through practical, everyday choices. Its approach is positive and nonjudgmental: rather than blaming others, the organization helps individuals understand how they can use resources more responsibly and make a difference. It emphasizes that while no one can achieve everything alone, each person’s contribution can help improve the world.

A central offering is Abenteuer Regenwald, an educational website designed especially for young people. Launched in 2004, it explains why tropical rainforests matter, the threats they face, and ways to help protect them. Visitors can find information and everyday tips, as well as ideas for activities such as organizing an information stand. The site has received awards and recognition for its work in nature education and biodiversity.

Umwelthelden also describes plans for a broader information portal to help people compare options on everyday topics, including the environmental impacts of products and supply chains.
