Since opening its first public charter school in Newark, New Jersey in 1997, Uncommon Schools has remained dedicated to providing an outstanding education to its students. With a network of 54 schools across Boston, Camden, New York City, Newark, and Rochester, Uncommon Schools is proud to serve 20,000 students.

By 2022, their goal is to send more than 1,000 young people from low-income communities to college every year.
