## Description

Fondazione Viecca Un Cuore per Milano ETS is a nonprofit organisation dedicated to protecting the right to health as a shared public good. Founded in 2003 as Un Cuore per Milano on the initiative of Professor Maurizio Viecca, then director of the Department of Highly Specialised Medicine and Cardiology at Ospedale Sacco, the Foundation received official recognition from the Lombardy Region. In 2025, it adopted its current name and broadened its vision, projects and responsibilities.

The Foundation promotes health prevention, medical and scientific research, education, training, public information and social-health solidarity. Through these activities, it supports citizens, institutions and healthcare professionals in addressing health needs and making care more accessible. Its work brings together volunteering, social-health innovation and scientific culture, with the aim of turning care into a shared value.

The organisation also invites the public to support its mission through donations, which may be tax-deductible. Its website provides information about its governance, transparency, projects, news and media coverage, alongside contact details and opportunities to follow its work.
