## Description

Underground Mathematics is an innovative educational resource dedicated to enriching the post-16 mathematics experience for both students and teachers. Founded in 2012 as part of the Cambridge Mathematics Education Project and now hosted by Cambridge Mathematics, the platform offers a wealth of free, web-based tools designed to support teaching and enhance learning. With a strong emphasis on problem-solving, mathematical reasoning, and fluency, Underground Mathematics advocates for engaging, low-threshold, high-ceiling activities that foster mathematical independence and resilience.

The site features a carefully curated tubemap that organizes mathematical concepts in a connected way that transcends traditional syllabus constraints, ensuring comprehensive coverage of A-level content. Additionally, the platform includes detailed support for teachers, emphasizing the development of students' mathematical thinking and inviting collaborative discussions.

Grounded in the belief that mathematics is an exciting human activity, Underground Mathematics aims to empower all learners to explore and succeed in mathematics, transforming their classrooms into vibrant, interactive mathematical communities.
