United Nations ESCAP

United Nations ESCAP, also known as the Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific, plays a crucial role as the United Nations' regional hub in promoting cooperation among countries to achieve inclusive and sustainable development. With 53 Member States and 9 associate members, it is the largest regional intergovernmental platform in the world. ESCAP offers a diverse range of products and services aimed at fostering economic and social progress in the Asia-Pacific region.

Their work encompasses areas such as macroeconomic policy, poverty reduction, financing for development, trade and investment, transport, environment and development, information and communication technology, disaster risk reduction, social development, statistics, and energy. Through various initiatives, ESCAP supports the implementation of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development and the attainment of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). They provide a platform for dialogue, knowledge sharing, and cooperation, while also assisting member countries in implementing sustainable development policies and strategies.
